What Do We Not Understand, When Jesus said “… ye see me NO MORE”?

Yet Jesus said “… but ye see me: because I live, ye live also.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

John 14:15-21 If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:19 Yet a little while, and THE WORLD SEETH ME NO MORE; (No one in the world will be able to see our Lord Christ Jesus in His earthly flesh body again, because He goeth to the Father) but ye see me (but we, who believe and trust in Him, see Him by the Holy Spirit): because I live (because Christ Jesus lives), ye shall live also (we believers live also)At that day ye shall know (as a believer having a witness in our Spirit … “knowing by the Spirit is seeing by the Spirit”) that I am in my Father (Jesus is in the Father), and ye in me (we who believe are in Christ Jesus), and I in you (Christ Jesus is in those of us who believe and trust in Him ... Isn't this a perfect description of where we are today? Plus, It's been this way within every believer throughout the past generations all the way back to the Upper Room). He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (The Holy Spirit of the Father, the Words of Christ Jesus will MANIFEST in ONE, to and through us, the Sons and Daughters of God, who believe, trust and seek to follow in obedience and service to the Only One True Living God, the Creator of all things)

Jesus Foretells the Future of His Disciples

John 16:1-33 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. (Remember after Jesus was crucified!! … Steven was stoned to death, and the Apostle Paul went about killing Christians, thinking he was doing the right thing, before he was struck blind on the road to Damascas. Plus, all of the Apostles were eventually killed for standing up for Christ Jesus, with the exception of John, who lived to be of an old age and died of natural causes.)

The Work of the Holy Spirit

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come (appears and accompanies): Strong’s 2064), he will reprove (convict and convince: Strong’s 1651) the world (the inhabitants of the orderly arrangement: Strong’s G2889) of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgmentOf sin, because they believe not on me (Christ Jesus)Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and YE SEE ME NO MORE (in a flesh body)Of judgment (justice: Strong’s G2920), because the prince (the chief ruler or magistrate: Strongs G758) of this world (the inhabitants of the orderly arrangement: Strong’s G2889) is judged (condemned, punished and damned: Strong’s G2919)I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now (before Christ Jesus went to the Father). Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come (after Christ Jesus ascends to the Father), he (the Spirit of Truth; the Holy Spirit) will GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH: for he shall not speak of himself; but WHATSOEVER HE SHALL HEAR, THAT SHALL HE SPEAK: AND HE WILL SHEW YOU THINGS TO COMEHe (the Spirit of Truth; the Holy Spirit) shall glorify me (Christ Jesus): for he (the Spirit of Truth; the Holy Spirit) shall receive of mine (the Way, the Truth and the Life), and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine (Matthew 28:18 … Jesus … said … All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth: therefore said I, that he (the Spirit of Truth; the Holy Spirit) shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Your Sorrow Will Turn into Joy

A little while, and ye shall not see me (in the flesh, because my flesh body will have died on a cross, and been buried in a tomb): and again, a little while, and ye shall see me (after Christ Jesus has risen from the tomb, ascended upon high, and then you shall see me by, and in, receiving the Holy Spirit), because I go to the Father. Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith. Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and YOUR HEART SHALL REJOICE, and your joy no man taketh from you (Romans 14:17  For the kingdom of God is … but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost). And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name (authority, character: Strong’s G3686), he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name (authority, character: Strong’s G3686): ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full (complete: Strong’s 4137)

Jesus Overcomes the World

These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall NO MORE speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 15:4-5 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

The Parable of the Tares (Weeds) Explained

Matthew 13:36-43 Jesus said … He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. THE SON OF MAN (Christ Jesus) SHALL SEND FORTH HIS ANGELS, and THEY SHALL GATHER OUT OF HIS KINGDOM all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teethTHEN, shall the righteous shine forth as the sun IN THE KINGDOM OF THEIR FATHER. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

So … Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus

Matthew 16:24-28 Then said Jesus unto his disciples,  For THE SON OF MAN SHALL COME IN THE GLORY (or the PRAISES, HONOR, DIGNITY and WORSHIP in the TRUTH of the LIVING ETERNAL SPIRIT: Strong’s G1391; in John 4:24  Jesus said God, our Heavenly Father is a Spirit: and that we must worship him in Spirit and in Truth) OF HIS FATHER WITH (amid: Strong’s G3326) HIS ANGELS (messengers, pastors: Strongs G32); and THEN HE SHALL REWARD EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS WORKS. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here (meaning back then, when Jesus lived on the earth in a flesh body), which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. (Jesus spoke these Words prior to going to the cross, revealing God’s Kingdom would be soon established under Grace, beginning prior to the end of that very same living generation)

Matthew 13:30  in the time of harvest (even NOW, and since the Great Commission of Christ Jesus prior to His ascension to the Father) I will say to the reapers (harvesters: Strongs G2327), Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:39  the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels

(We are before the judgment seat of Christ Jesus, even NOW, during this lifetime. We receive our just reward during our lifetime and prior to the end of our lives on earth! Luke 6:38 … For with the same measure that ye mete (give out) withal it shall be measured to you again. Then when we become absent from the flesh body, we enter into the Eternal Presence of our Heavenly Father, the Almighty Creator of all things!) The Apostle Paul stated in 2Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Luke 12:42-48 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more

Revelation 22:12-13 And, behold, I COME QUICKLY; and MY REWARD IS WITH ME, TO GIVE TO EVERY MAN ACCORDING AS HIS WORK SHALL BE. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Revelation 1:1-8 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel (messenger: Strong’s G32) unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand(This writing of the Book of Revelation to the Seven Churches by the Apostle John, in my opinion was written during the years prior to the siege and fall of Jerusalem beginning in 67-70 AD … Also, please take note of “must shortly come to pass” in verse 1 … and “for the time is at hand” in verse 3) John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds (crowds of people); and every eye shall see him (everyone at that time will see Christ Jesus through His witnesses, who have received Him. The Christian Gospel spread the New Covenant of Grace all over the known world during those years in the 1st Century), and they also which pierced him (This prior sentence shows clearly the Word is speaking of those who pierced him at the cross, and were still living to receive this judgement with the end of the Old Covenant under the Law through the work of Jesus on the cross along with the complete Destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD): and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

* Note: It is very important to understand the following passages: Several times in the Holy Scriptures, the words “throng” or “multitude” were used to describe large groups of people.  Back in the days of Jesus, the word “cloud” was used to describe a group of people or things, whether large or small in number. The word “crowd” is not in the King James Version of the Christian Bible, but even prior to the birth of Christ Jesus, various writers and philosophers such as Homer, Plato and Aristotle started using the word “cloud” to describe a large group or mass of people. The following * notes are from 2 different commentaries regarding this. For instance: * (1) The phrase, “a cloud of witnesses,” means many witnesses, or a number so great that they seem to be a cloud. The comparison of a multitude of persons to a cloud is common in the classic writers; see Homer II. 4:274, 23:133; Statius 1:340, and other instances adduced in Wetstein,…(from Albert Barnes Commentary addressing Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ... * (2) cloud of witnesses - Νεφος μαρτυρων. Both the Greeks and Latins frequently use the term cloud, to express a great number of persons or things; so in Euripides, Phoeniss. ver. 257: νεφος ασπιδων πυκνον, a dense cloud of shields; and Statius, Thebiad., lib. ix., ver. 120: jaculantum nubes, a cloud of spearmen. The same metaphor frequently occurs. (from Adam Clark Commentary Heb 12:1) Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, This IS NOT a great number of witnesses up in the sky, but it is a large group of witnesses or people right here on earth watching them from all around. Also, note in 2Peter 2:17 the personification of the word “clouds” here describing false prophets, compared to wells without water. Or in Jude 1:11-12 take note of the personification of several false teachers depicted as “clouds they are without water.” The point is the fact that these examples point to groups of people.

* NOTE: His appearance and/or His coming is and has been being revealed within and through His presence since the experience in the Upper Room beginning in the 2nd Chapter of ACTS 2:1-4.
